Hi everyone.  Just wanted to update you on what's going on in my life.  The last 2 years have been a bit hectic.  Eli and I have split up, our divorce will become official sometime later this year.  In the mean time, I have moved to live with my sister in Pennsylvania !  A long 11 day ordeal of packing, driving, and unpacking.  I'm now settling into my new temporary home .. how long is temporary, you may ask ???  Well, i'll let you know as soon as I know :)

Argentina !! Wow, what can I say ! We took a 40 day vacation for 3 purposes (in no particular order): 1. to visit family members, 2. to tour Argentina, and 3. to "meet" all kinds of animals. Our trip included visits to Buenos Aires, Iguazu falls, Parana, El Calafate, Puerto Madryn, Punta Tombo, Punta Norte, Trelew, Puerto Piramides, Ushuaia, Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto Deseado, and Tandil. We went by planes, buses, taxis and car - visiting all these places. We had to pack for all kinds of weather; in Iguazu, it is sub-tropical, and since it's summer, we had to pack shorts, etc., while in Ushuaia (the end of the world), it was cold and windy, so ski clothes - that sure makes for a lot of luggage to haul around !! Do you know how hard it is to pack 3 suitcases in a sub-sub-sub-compact car (thats what it felt like) ?? Let me tell you, the last couple of days, we were really ready to come home and have a nice quiet, realxed time. It's amazing how you miss your bed, shower, pups, closets, ... well, you get the picture.

I met a lot of Eli's family members - most of them for the first time (I only knew 4 or 5 from their previous visits here to the US); there were aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, etc., etc. - the list goes on. There were even some that Eli hadn't met before. We both had a great time and would like to thank everyone for their hospitality. We spent my birthday and Christmas with family - so nice. Mi casa es su casa - come visit us sometime !

Amyway, there are LOTS of pictures to see. We went on "excursions" that took us as close as we dared to penguins, sea lions, elephant seals, right whales, dolphins, armadillos, grey foxes, hares, horses, all kinds of birds, cows, sheep, , and many, many more. We literally walked on the beach and walked right up to the animals - no, there were no cages or anything like that. We took a grand total of 5096 pictures - it would have been MUCH more, but my camera broke down and we were "stuck" with only one camera between the two of us ! WOW, what a ride. To say the least, it's taking us quite a while to sort though all the pictures to show off the best. We will eventually get all the pictures loaded up on this site - please be patient. (For all you bird lovers out there, we categorized all the birds we found and put the names next to the pictures.)

Y’all be good!
